I’m Monica, a civil/traffic engineer who has spent more than a decade working on major road and rail projects across NSW – from tier‑one contractors to smaller, nimble firms.

I’m a bit of a wookie engineer: I ask too many questions, care a lot about people, and have a habit of poking at “we’ve always done it this way” when it leaves someone – a worker, a kid, a person using a mobility aid – feeling invisible.

Over the years I’ve seen how often traffic management is engaged last, even though it’s the front‑facing part of a project. Designs get buried between different teams and contractual fine print, and the lived experience at street level pays the price.

VMon Solutions exists to change that. I work alongside delivery teams to unpack the constraints, design safer, more inclusive temporary setups, and communicate clearly with communities so the journey through a project is as considered as the finished infrastructure.
